To Whom It May Concern:

I am the chairperson of the upcoming Massachusetts Association of Women in Law Enforcement (MAWLE) conference to be held at Wheaton College in Norton, MA on October 9th & 10th, 2017.  The committee is actively seeking sponsorships/donations for this exciting event.  The goal of the training is to bring women from all facets within criminal justice arena together for a day of professional enlightenment, personal growth and networking.

The theme for the 2017 conference is “Together We Can”.  As you are undoubtedly aware, the past few years have been a difficult journey for those of us in the law enforcement profession.  With that said, we have chosen conference presenters who are highlighting the spirit of Together We Can through the collaborations and innovations present in their daily work.

Our featured panel will include Chief Kristen Roman of the University of Wisconsin Police Department, Chief Kelly Nee of the Boston University Police Department, Chief Holmes of the New York City Police Department, and Superintendent Lisa Holmes of the Boston Police Department.  They will talk about what leadership means to them and provide examples of the mentorship they received to get where they are as well as the mentorship they provide to the women in the profession that come behind them. Their interactive discussion with the audience will highlight the subtext of leadership and mentorship and the impact it has not only in our profession but in the community.

I am hopeful that your organization will be able to help us in our endeavor to make this a wonderful and meaningful event for all the attendees.  Please consider supporting us!!!

Sincerely,

Chief Christopher M. Santiago
