2024 Lieutenant June T. Murphy Scholarship Open

Dear Sir/Madam, 

Massachusetts Association of Women in Law Enforcement (MAWLE) is pleased to announce the

Lieutenant June T. Murphy Scholarship – to be awarded to a student who pursues a degree in Criminal Justice.  

All eligible candidates’ qualifications, achievements, etc. will be evaluated and rated in comparison to all the perspective applicants.  The winner will be selected and awarded the scholarship by late spring.  

To be eligible, applicants MUST review the guidelines and criteria, complete the on – line application, and use the checklist for your guidance.  If all the guidelines and criteria are not met you are not eligible to apply.

The scholarship winner will be chosen by the Scholarship Committee and submitted for review to the MAWLE Executive Board.  The winner and family will be invited to the annual Spirit of MAWLE Award Ceremony for the presentation of the scholarship (awards’ date and location listed on website: www.mawle.org.) The scholarship check will be delivered after the completion of the first semester of college.

Lieutenant June T. Murphy Scholarship

The Massachusetts Association of Women in Law Enforcement (MAWLE) is pleased to offer an annual scholarship award, in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1000.00), to be awarded to a high school senior who is pursuing a degree in law enforcement or criminal justice. This scholarship is presented during the annual Spirit of MAWLE Award Ceremony.

All candidates will be evaluated based on their achievements in relation to the entire pool of applicants. The winner will be selected by the MAWLE Scholarship Committee and presented to the Executive Board within the month of May each year. To be eligible, applicants must meet the Scholarship Criteria, and complete the Scholarship Application.

Victoria is a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School and will be attending Berkshire Community College this fall where she will be pursuing a criminal justice degree.
