MAWLE organizing care packages for deployed females

We are collecting items to ship to deployed female service members. It is always tough to be away from home for an extended period of time, and we want to let them know we are thinking of them and their families. We also recognize that females have unique needs and may have special requests, which may not always be fulfilled in a male-dominated field. Hopefully our packages will offer some comfort and peace of mind to our SHE-RO’s! We will be collecting donated items through at least October. We will accept items at our annual conference on October 3rd at Endicott College. You are encouraged to set up a collection point at your agency! There are currently collection boxes at the following Boston locations:

61 Columbia Rd, Dorchester – MA Association of Minority Law Enforcement Officers (MAMLEO)

1 Schroeder Plaza, Roxbury – Boston Police Headquarters (outside the cafeteria)

295 Freeport St, Dorchester – Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association (BPPA)

434 Hyde Park Ave, Roslindale – Boston Police Detective Benevolent Society (BPDBS)

The following list is a guide of suggested items to collect/donate. Similar items will be accepted. We are taking special requests from the service members. If you would like to fulfill a special request, make a monetary donation, or arrange a drop off/pickup, please contact Sgt. Amyleigh DeVito at secretary@mawle.org.

If you know a deployed female service member from Massachusetts please send their name/assignment along to us, along with any special request they may have. Please indicate whether they are a law enforcement member, but this is not required to receive a care package.
